EAA AirVenture 2018 at Oshkosh is nearly here! There is so much to see at Oshkosh it’s hard to fit it all in a week, that’s one reason many of us like to return year after year. If you haven’t been there, do yourself a favor and check out all the activities that are available to you: https://www.eaa.org/en/airventure/features-and-attractions/eaa-airventure-air-show/daily-air-show-schedule. Or just Google “AirVenture 2018 Schedule”. Take 15 minutes to peruse the schedule and see what’s there. Then start making your plans to attend next year if it’s too late for you this year!
As always, we will have a house rented by the FPA all week. Dave Babineau is coordinating so check with him if you need any details.
Back by popular demand, I will be presenting at a forum in the Blue Barn: “Chapter Home: Rent, Buld or Buy”. It’s the story of what it took to build our hangar at KFIT. Please stop by to attend and add your insights to the presentation and Q&A.
I look forward to seeing many of you there at Airventure!
Welcome to Fitchburg Pilots Association, EAA Chapter 1454, located at Fitchburg Municipal Airport (KFIT), Massachusetts.
PLEASE NOTE: Our Meetup site (listed in the sidebar) is available for viewing by anyone interested in our activities. We encourage you to visit there anytime, get an idea of what we do and plan to attend our chapter meetings. We also use the site to schedule many chapter activities. Meetup membership is limited to current members of FPA/EAA 1454 and their guests. For our fly-outs, PICs need to know and approve all passengers prior to departure. We have approximately 100 members in our organization. Your understanding and cooperation is appreciated.
Remember to check Meetup often - especially late Tuesday nights when last minute fly-outs often get scheduled.
Chapter Meetings are held on the second Tuesday evening of the month at our FPA Aviation Center hangar. Dinner at 6:00 followed by the meeting at 7:00. Any ideas or questions, please contact any member of our leadership team.
