Chapter 1454 at KFIT

Fitchburg Pilots Association

Please join us for our monthly FPA / EAA1454 Chapter meeting on Tuesday, October 9th, for a fun and educational presentation by pilot/builder Bob Smith.  Bob will share with us his journey through the construction of his newly-minted Van's RV12ULS.  To build this experimental aircraft, Bob was coached and supported by his friend, Peter Vollheim (an experienced pilot and builder of 30+ years).  They were able to complete the RV12 build in exactly 24 months, logging 1,300 build hours.

Bob has flown the plane locally with some short cross country trips while waiting for a time slot to get the plane painted by Prestige Aircraft in Highgate VT.  The painted, finished product will be on display in the FPA hangar during and after Bob's presentation.
•    BBQ at 6PM ($5 donation requested)

What We're About...

Welcome to Fitchburg Pilots Association, EAA Chapter 1454, located at Fitchburg Municipal Airport (KFIT), Massachusetts.

Our Meetup site (listed in the sidebar) is available for viewing by anyone interested in our activities. We encourage you to visit there anytime, get an idea of what we do and plan to attend our Chapter meetings. We also use the site to schedule many Chapter activities, like popup fly-outs (always the flying kind, not the baseball kind).  Meetup membership is limited to current members of FPA/EAA 1454 and their guests.  For our fly-outs, PICs need to know and approve all passengers prior to departure. Since we have over 100 members in our organization, your understanding and cooperation is appreciated.

Remember to check Meetup often - especially late Tuesday nights when those last minute popup fly-outs often get scheduled.

Chapter Meetings are held on the second Tuesday evening of the month at our FPA Aviation Center hangar.  Dinner at 6PM, followed by the Chapter meeting and monthly topic at 7PM.
